FusionPlus Login Session Management

User session management determines how long it lasts before a user must login again.

Overview

Understanding how FusionPlus manages login sessions is crucial for ensuring a seamless user experience. This article explains the duration and renewal process of login sessions in FusionPlus, as well as the interaction with ECI Identity.

User Session

A User Session tracks a login on the FusionPlus Portal and ends when you logout or the session expires. Here is more about how it works.

  • FusionPlus Session: Each session in FusionPlus lasts for 2 hours.

  • Renewal: The session is renewed on each page load, keeping the user signed in continuously as long as they are active.

Session Renewal Process

  • Within 2 Hours: If a page load occurs within the 2-hour session window, the session is automatically renewed for another 2 hours.

  • Outside 2 Hours: If a page load occurs outside the 2-hour session window, FusionPlus checks if the user is still logged into ECI Identity.

    • ECI Identity Session: ECI Identity sessions last for 24 hours.

    • Extension: If the user is still logged into ECI Identity, the FusionPlus session is extended for another 2 hours.

Logout Information

  • FusionPlus Logout: Logging out of FusionPlus does not affect the ECI Identity session.

  • ECI Identity Logout: Users must log out of ECI Identity separately to end their session there.

Important Notes

  • Separate Logout: Remember, logging out of ECI Identity is separate from logging out of FusionPlus. Ensure you log out from both if needed.
